Our Community Projects
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the freedom, adventure and joy of riding off-road. Our community projects are about removing barriers and creating opportunities for people to get involved, whatever their experience, confidence or budget.
Through income from our paid events, alongside support from funders and partners, we’re able to offer free and low-cost cycling opportunities for families, girls and women. These include opportunities to try off-road cycling, build skills and confidence, and discover the outdoors on two wheels.

Pedal & Play
Our Pedal & Play family days are all about getting families outside and having fun on bikes. Sessions include short, traffic-free guided rides, access to demo bikes and bike seats, plus plenty of time for kids to play and get involved in balance bike games.
And, if we can, we like to finish with cake! 🍰
Gravel Grrrls
We work with Bike Trossachs to deliver our Gravel Grrrls sessions for girls aged 12–17. The programme combines practical bike skills with guided off-road rides, helping girls build confidence, develop their riding and discover new places on two wheels.
This year, the programme culminated in an epic overnight adventure in the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, made possible thanks to funding from The Women’s Fund for Scotland.
Ride & Read
These sessions began as an event for the Aberfoyle Book Festival and have grown into a fun way for our youngest riders to explore the outdoors.
Aimed at children aged 4–8, Ride & Read combines cycling and storytelling, taking little ones on an adventure on two wheels before settling down for a story in the forest. It’s a chance to explore, build confidence on bikes and let their imaginations run wild! 🌲📚🚲
